I wrote the first version in 2020 to solve a small problem: plotting data where there is no GUI — terminals, logs and CI pipelines.

Six years later, it’s still one of my favorite open-source side projects — and that use case feels oddly current again. Coding agents and remote development environments often work best when output can stay right in the terminal or a Markdown document — no browser, no display server, no image files to shuttle around.
